The Islamic Centre, Islamic Society of Palmerston, Northern Territory (NT)

The Society is serving locals of Palmerston and surrounding rural Darwin region for more than a decade. The Society regularly invites local Muslims as well as other faith people to understand Islam in a peaceful multicultural environment.

Palmerston is second largest and fastest growing city of Northern Territory, Australia. The Society has secured 7,100 square meter land parcel in Palmerston to build an Islamic Center with few obligations. The Society currently has a temporary prayer hall (future IMAMA’s residence) where it runs daily and Friday prayers. However, to meet current and growing community needs and to preserve identity of local Muslims, the Society has developed plans to build the Islamic Centre.
